  • Partner with Commercial and Sales teams to identify and pursue new business and organic growth opportunities.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the market, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and accountability.
  • Develop leaders and support workforce and succession planning.
  • Lead labor relations and support labor negotiations, as appropriate.
  • Foster collaboration between City Docks and corporate teams.

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a safety-first culture where safety is embedded in every aspect of the operation.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, legal, regulatory, environmental, and company requirements.
  • Ensure effective safety training, incident investigation, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Hold leaders and teams accountable for maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational discipline.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven experience leading a significant operation with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of terminal operations, breakbulk cargo, stevedoring, shipping, and port infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams in complex, fast-paced operating environments.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and commercial negotiations.
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Experience working in unionized or labor-intensive environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, improve performance, and deliver measurable results.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
