Barista Opportunity At Opal Grand ResortOpal Grand Resort looking to add a Barista to our Beach Market team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an organization that believes our team members are our most important resource and therefore take great pride in selecting individuals that help us to achieve our company’s mission.Job Responsibilities:Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink ordersPrepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino.Receive and process paymentsPlace customer food and beverage orders through POSOrder, receive, stock supplies and retail products.Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate itemsPreparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastriesAnswering customers’ questions about menu choices and optionsPromoting and recommending menu options to customersMaintain necessary inventoryRespond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient mannerAccurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling proceduresServe customers quickly and efficientlyDemonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offeringsObserve relevant health and safety standardsKeeping the work environment sanitary and organizedEvaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of servicePerforms other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management or supervisors and moves with a sense of urgencyUnderstands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program and reports any accidents to managementAdheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Staff Member HandbookJob Description:Full Time/Part Time$15.00/hour plus gratuitiesMust be able to work nights, weekends and holidaysJob Benefits:Health Insurance for qualified statusDental Insurance for qualified statusVision Insurance for qualified statusLife Insurance for qualified status401(k)Complimentary meal for every shift worked25% discount in Resort outletsHotel Employee discounts with OPLFriends and Family DiscountThe company also conducts post-offer employment verifications, motor vehicle, and criminal background checks.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
